     Self-righteous   legalists  seek  to  use  laws   and
morality as tools by which to control other people.   They
feel  a  need  to be in control, or to be  associated with
those who are in control;  and so  they seek to  associate
themselves  with  the power to control which is  vested in
respected  laws,  legalities,  moral systems  and  ethical
systems.

     The  more powerful and transcendent is the  authority
behind  the  instruments  of  control,   the  more  secure
addictive legalists think that they will be by associating
themselves  with it.  Those  who  think that they speak in
the name of God Himself are particularly self confident in
their pronouncements of  words designed to control others.
Yet  She  may not have called them to speak in  Her   Holy
Name.

     Self  righteous legalists think that the Word of  God
is the Word which controls humans, and they are willing to
speak  that  Word  in their effort to achieve a  sense  of
