     Often  humans  become  frustrated  with  their  human
characteristics which are viewed as limitations upon their
ability  to fulfill their visions.  In their  frustrations
they  often  pretend that they can transcend  their  human
characteristics,   and  view  their  presumed  ability  to
transcend  their human characteristics as a sign that they
as  individuals are in a significant sense  super---human,
better  than  other humans who do not have  the  power  to
transcend limiting human characteristics. In their visions
and  presumed  powers  they  transcend  other  humans  and
presume  to  look  down upon other  humans  from  superior
perspectives.   They disintegrate in their arrogance,  and
bring  disintegration  to  their  communities;   if  their
humanity  is not affirmed in integrative ways through  the
power  of  Love,  through which humans can  transcend  the
temptation   to  play  collusive  games  of  mutual   self
deception.

     Humans are born,  live and die.   Humans have limited
time  spans.  Often humans pretend that they are  eternal,
and  in  the confusion thus generated they are  unable  to
cope  joyfully with the real dilemmas and opportunities of
life.  Such pretense leads to joyless games of mutual self
deception which fail to fulfill desirable visions.

     Humans  are sexual creatures who need to be  affirmed
as   sexual   creatures   seeking   meaningful    intimate
relationships   which  are  open,   honest  and   mutually
respectful.  Often humans pretend that they are not sexual
creatures  and  that  they can transcend  their  need  for
mutually  fulfilling sexual relationships---seeking to  do
so through repression of sexuality,  manipulative  control
of sexuality and legalistic regulation of sexuality.  Such
pretense leads to the disintegration of sexual integrity.

     With  physical bodies humans are part of the physical
universe within which they exist and are conscious of each
other   through   physical   interactions   and   physical
sensations. Often humans pretend that they can objectively
detach themselves from the physical universe of which they
are a part,  and regard it objectively as if they were not
part of the interacting web of physical reality and  life.
In  such pretentious objectivity scientists cease to  shed
light  on the world through their reflexive  relationships
with  the world and each other.  There are scientists  who
demonstrate a superficial show of knowledge,  because they
do  not  know  themselves honestly and  communally  within
their  objective  contexts;   they are  not  knowledgeably
reflexive.   In their confusion and arrogance they  create
many  crises,   conflicts and dilemmas which  they  cannot
resolve.

     As  spiritual beings humans often pretend  that  they
transcend  the physical realm,  are pure spiritual  beings
who are disconnected from physical reality,  and are  able
to know all without regard for the limitations of existing
within  space  and time within physical bodies.  In  their
pretentious visions such beings cease to be authentic, and
instead  play visionary games of mutual self deception  in
which they cannot relate openly and honestly to each other
