     The   clear  articulation  of  abstract   integrative
principles  can  play  an important  role  in  helping  us
transcend  our  collusions,   addictions  and  codependent
patterns of behavior.

     Frontal  attacks upon the disintegrative  taboos  and
collusions of a systemically addicted/codependent  society
do   not  yield  sweet  fruits.   Frontal  attacks  elicit
heightened  defenses  and counter-attacks in the  form  of
increased  sophistication in misleading  manipulations  of
information and dis-information.

     Addicts  and  codependents are skillful  in  cloaking
their  misleading  behaviors as being  proper  within  the
context  of  the  values  articulated  by  moral  systems,
religious  systems,  legal systems,  educational  systems,
political  systems,  etc.  It is difficult to  expose  the
dishonesty inherent in such appeals.  Frontal attacks will
not  help;  even though gracious/honest confrontations are
essential to dealing with such inherent dishonesty.

     Helpful      gracious/honest  confrontations     will
often entail confrontations between clear articulations of
abstract  integrative  principles and  of  the  misleading
affirmations  of collusive addicts/codependents.   Through
careful  use  of words pointing to personal  and  communal
integrity it is possible to shine the clear light of truth
upon  the confusions perpetuated by  collusive  behaviors.
Only  in that clear light is it possible to carefully sort
out   integrative  behaviors  as  being   different   from
disintegrative   behavior  cloaked  in  the  garments   of
