     The  self conscious being is aware of  and  considers
the  consequences  to  self  of  reflexive  actions,   and
consequences  of  the  action of others  which  flow  from
reflexive actions.

     An  automaton is unaware of itself,  and unaware  and
uncaring  about the consequences to itself of its  actions
and  the  actions  of  others which  flow  from  reflexive
actions.

     Meaningfully   conscious  beings  share  openly   and
honestly  with each other their reflexive  considerations.
To  the  extent that people CANNOT and do NOT  share  with
each  other  their  reflexive considerations in  open  and
honest dialogue which is experienced as being  meaningful;
to  that extent they are dead,  and are  not  meaningfully
conscious. Such people are the living dead in hell.

     Proper  conformity is not the essence  of  meaningful
consciousness.  Respectability due to proper conformity is
not the essence of meaningful consciousness.  The power to
control and its exercise tend to undermine the possibility
of meaningful consciousness and dialogue.  The achievement
of   proper  behavior  is  not  in  itself  a   meaningful
achievement for truly conscious beings.

     Meaningfully   conscious  beings  share  openly   and
