     Habits  of mind and heart are tied up with habits  of
language.      The  language used in  daily communications
interacts with the content of daily communications.   Each
leads the other in interactive ways.

     People who get in the habit of communicating  certain
kinds  of content thereby get into the habits  of language
which  facilitate  those  kinds  of  communications,   and
inhibits    complementary    kinds    of    communication.
Vocabulary which  is not  often used cannot  be used  when
the   occasion  arises  where   it   is  needed.       The
vocabulary   which   is  available  in  times  of   crises
helps  to  determine  the response to the crises.

     People  with specialized habitual language tend to be
imprisoned  in the habits of mind and heart which go  with
the specialized language.    They do not have the symbolic
tools   with   which  to  facilitate  wise   communicative
responses  to  new situations.

     Habits  of  language  pertain  to  words,    symbols,
combinations,  and uses to which they are put.   Habits of
language go hand in hand with habits of heart;  how people
habitually  feel  about  various  kinds  of    situations.
Habits    of   language   include  habits   of   emotional
expressions as well as habits of intellectual  expression.
Some    people   are  open  and  honest   in   integrative
communications  which  are   the   foundations  of   their
community's integrity.    Other  people   are  closed  and
misleading  in   disintegrative behaviors which  undermine
