     Human behavior may be described and prescribed. Taken
literally both descriptions and prescriptions are scribed,
written  as  by  a  trained specialist in  writing.   More
generally  descriptions  and  prescriptions  are   verbal,
rather than non-verbal.

     Descriptions    pertain   to   what   has   happened.
Prescriptions pertain to what should happen.

     People often prescribe the "good life".  In so  doing
they  tend  to generate alienation  which  undermines  the
