To such a person even the concept of personal fulfillment is nonsense, since personal fulfillment is not an objective reality subject to confirmation by persons who are compulsively oriented to objectivity and the behaviorist approach to people. Such people are subject to a limiting paradigm, victims of their ideals and value judgments which are disintegrative of personal relationships. Such ideals and value judgments were not made in a thoroughly objective way, yet lead to a thoroughly objective reality in which genuinely personal relationships are not real according to the rules, taboos and collusions which characterize the reality which is "discovered". Communal fulfillment with integrity entails personal fulfillment with integrity, and vice versa; one is not possible without the other, neither is an exclusively objective reality, even though both are real and meaningful to the participants who are genuinely present as persons of integrity within and through the fulfillments. By communal affirmations of all that is essential to personal fulfillment with integrity, communities enjoy communal fulfillment with integrity of the possibilities for communal integrity. By personal affirmations of all that is essential to communal fulfillment with integrity, individual persons may enjoy personal fulfillment with integrity of the possibilities for personal integrity. Withholding affirmations from the complementary other leads to disintegration. Fulfillment with integrity is possible only in balanced ways, not in exclusive ways. "perfection" of one special kind at the expense of a complementary "other" leads to dis- integration, not to integrity. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
