ADOPT-A-MINEFIELD PRESENTATION

Hugh Sanborn gave a presentation on minefields to Trinity Lutheran Church. He encourages members to make presentations to their own groups or churches and will make his material available. Contact Hugh at 225-0983

ADOPT-A-MINEFIELD ACTIVITIES will take the place of our regular March UNA meeting.

Teacher Colleen Conrad and her group of ninth-grade honor students at Lincoln school have been involved in AAM efforts. Colleen has asked for UNA volunteers to listen to practice presentations by students. Co-hosts may also be needed for dinners hosted by students whose homes aren't quite up to this project.

The students will make their own t-shirts, and UNA has offered to contribute $100 toward costs. As of 2/17, $65 has been donated by UNA members to the t-shirt fund.

Colleen will be in touch as to what she needs, and Eleanor will coordinate UNA support activities. Please let Eleanor know what you're willing to do:

- co-host a dinner
- gently critique a presentation
- donate for T-shirts.

Contact Eleanor at 377-0863 or by email at: eleanor@dwightcentral.com"

KEN THARP TO ATTEND BIENNIAL NATIONAL CONVENTION OF UNA/USA

The Biennial National Convention of UNA/USA and the World Federation of UNAs will take place March 2-7 in New York City. The theme is UN60: A Time for Renewal.

Ken Tharp will represent our chapter, and we look forward to the ideas, publications, etc. he will bring back. Our chapter treasury cannot yet offer a delegate subsidy to this important meeting; however, it is a long-range goal.

FIRST ANNUAL MEETING of the Northern Colorado UNA Chapter was held Jan. 15 and attended by about 35 people. Dr. James Roth of Regis University addressed the group and provided fresh, insightful strategies on how the U.N. could exert greater influence in world trade affairs.
