* The NOVICE Menu of the Essays System introduces finding, reading, printing *
* and copying to disk of the text of essays (c) 1997 by Paul A. Smith. *
* When viewing the NOVICE Menu you can pick a word of interest, by use of *
* the key-pad keys around the 5 key. With a word of interest *
* highlighted press Enter to see all the TITLES of essays which contain *
* words starting with the first few letters of your chosen word. *

* When viewing TITLES containing your chosen word, use the key-pad keys *
* around the 5 to put a title of interest at == mid-screen == and *
* press Enter to see the TEXT of the == ESSAY ==. Note information *
* at the bottom of the screen, including H for contextual help. *

* When viewing TEXT of an essay use the key-pad keys around the 5 key *
* to move the text. You may print all the text of the ESSAY you are *
* viewing. Press the P key. The D key will print the text to disk. *

* S to search for words in MENUS, TITLES, and TEXT. *
* P to print the text of an essay being viewed. *
