In working on ways to help people to Mitigate-Their-Own Alienative-Conflicts - - - it may on occasion be important to avoid wasting time-energy-and-resources in dealing with people-who-show-little-or-no gracious- interest in Shalom's-Diverse-Ways of: 1. Affirming Distributive-Justice, 2. Assessing the overall-costs of Maintaining-Alienative-Conflicts, 3. Letting-Go of Long-Term-Non-Sustainable Alienative-Conflicts, 4. Getting beyond Contentious Debates with Futile-Outcomes, Contentious Alienative-Relationships with the above kinds of people will not change them! We will do better to try to clarify what we can agree upon, about what needs we share in common; and what we can do cooperatively to enjoy fulfilling our common healthy needs in keeping with commonly held ideals, values, principles and virtues. If we begin by agreeing that we have no needs, ideals, values, principles and virtues - - - In-Common - - - WE HAVE AGREED TO FIGHT TO MAINTAIN OUR ALIENATIVE-CONFLICTS! That is not a long-term sustainable activity!
