How, then, are we to recognize the kinds of people who are truly likely to offer advice which is reliable, robust and long-term-sustainable? 1. Look to people who engage in Less-Alienative-Patterns-of-Behaviors, than the behaviors that the above people engage in! 2. Be willing to engage in Open-and-Honest-Dialogues with many different kinds of people - - - to get the benefits of wide spectrums of differing perspectives - - - that are NOT overall: provincial, biased, prejudiced, egocentric, etc. 3. Be willing to admit when mistakes are made, to learn from each mistake made and to benefit publicly from the experience of making the mistake. 4. Be willing to acknowledge that things have not worked out as well as expected; and to explore many possible reasons for expectations not being fulfilled.
