The lecture-style of instruction - - - Will-Not-Be-Helpful. 2. Viewing the leader/facilitator of the class as the unquestioned-authority in the class - - - Will-Not-Be-Helpful. 3. Seeking to agree upon correct-responses to prescribed-canned-questions - - - Will-Not-Be-Helpful. 4. Focusing upon prescribed: Assumptions, Attitudes, Approaches, Thinking, Questions. Recitations, Reasoning, Conclusions, Relationships, Communications, etc. - - - Will-Not-Be-Helpful. 5. Preoccupations with Alienative-Thoughtless-Reactions to Alienative-Conflicts - - - Will-Not-Be-Helpful - - - if those Preoccupations do not lead-beyond-themselves into the Gracious-Ways-of-Shalom and into True-Lovers' Reflexive-Relationships within the Sanctuaries built and maintained in Gracious-Ways for all people seeking to become involved in Open-and-Honest-Dialogues about how to cooperate with each other to insure that all of our most basic-authentic-needs are fulfilled through cooperation and colaboration of all who are involved. In such a course it Will-Be-Helpful TO: 1. Involve students in small-group-conferences during class-time about possible foci for small teams-of-students focusing upon matters of common concern to them. 2. Involve students in research into traditional and web-oriented resources to learn about evolving conceptual-frameworks-for helping people to Mitigate-Their-Own- Alienative-Conflicts - - - rather than depending heavily on outsiders to try to: Settle, Arbitrate, Resolve, Negotiate or Intrude-Into THEIR-CONFLICTS; and to compare and contrast the evolving conceptual-frameworks and their fruits-to-date. 3. Involve students in small-groups working outside-of-class-time on research and on activities in the "real-world" to learn about how to help other people to Mitigate-their-Own-Alienative-Conflicts - - - and to report on their experiences and what they learned from their experiences in terms of changes in their own personal: attitudes, assumptions, convictions, beliefs, intentions, expectations, and intentions. 4. Focus participants' attention upon the Essential-Foundations of both Persona-and- Communal Integration-Processes and Present-Integrities within the Whole-Crew of God's Astronomically-Tiny-Space-Ship-Earth which is Essentially-Isolated from all other significant Material-Objects as regards potentially-useful Material- Resources like: air, water, minerals and sources of concentrated material fuels. 5. Focus upon issues of great interest to the particular students, and upon what significant steps they can take together to address those issues in gracious ways which might help participant-victims in Alienative-Conflicts to Mitigate- their Own-Alienative-Conflicts; rather than wait for outsiders to attempt to: Settle, Arbitrate, Negotiate, Resolve or otherwise End their Alienative-Conflict chosen by the outsiders. 6. Focus upon why it is difficult to identify just how and why a particular Tragic- Alienative-Conflict has generated alienation; e.g., due to different people's different, but not yet fully recognized and/or understood: a. Assumptions, Presuppositions, Biases, Prejudices, Provincialisms, etc. b. Perspectives and Points-of-View, c. Injuries, Diseases, Handicaps, Anxieties, Terrors, etc. d. Economic-Deprivations and Victimizations due to Minority-Status, e. Attitudes and Alienative-Response-Patterns, f. Deprivations of fulfillments of true, healthy and essential humane needs, g. Unusual, but for them very real true needs, h. Different ways of perceiving and describing realities in helpful ways, i. Creative-Abilities and potentials for integrative leadership positions, j. Confusions about: facts, hypotheses, descriptive-laws-and-proven-theories, k. Confusions about virtues, vices, ideals, ideologies, paradigms and religions, l. Reliable and unchangeable patters in objective processes and interactions, m. Responses to Exponential Growths-and-Decays in Resource-Consumptive-Processes, due to Finite-Resources, as within God's Astronomically-Tiny Space-Ship-Earth.
