Values,   Ideals,  Principles,  Visions,  Dreams,   Hopes,
Expectations, Attitudes, Fears, Risks, Virtues, Vices, and
Related-Guides ---
                    ARE-FOCI-IN-COMPETITION.

The following lines  suggest some  of those Important-Ways
in  terms of LIMITED-HUMAN-RESOURCES which CAN-BE-SPENT to
AFFIRM   THE-ABOVE-FOCI-FOR-ATTENTION:

                   through the USE-OF-WORDS

That are: spoken,  printed, published, advertised, stored,
transmitted,    retrieved,    searched-for,    remembered,
repressed, suppressed, word-smithed, etc.

             through the dedication/use-of LIMITED:

 1.  Personal-TIME and how it is budgeted.
 2.  Newspaper-copy-space and how it is used.
 3.  Magazine-copy-space and how it is used.
 4.  Broadcast time on radio/TV stations as used.
 5.  Web-site-web-pages and how they are designed.
 6.  Advertising-means and how they are framed.
 7.  Images, pictures, videos, movies, programming. . . .

                Above, the focus is upon WORDS.

         Below, the focus is upon BEHAVIORS/ACTIONS.

Humans  communicate a Great-Deal through the use of  WORDS
in  diverse ways suggested above through all the different
kinds of modes of sharing and manipulating WORDS as means
of  communication  of  messages  ---   in  many  different
languages.
              ===================================

 Humans communicate EVEN-MORE through Humane-and-Inhumane:

BEHAVIORS, ACTIONS, HABITS, TRADITIONS, RITUALS, MEETINGS,
INTIMACIES, TOUCHING, CONTESTS, CLUBS, ORGANIZATIONS, ACTS
and ways of SPENDING-TIME-TOGETHER that entail SHARING of:

  COSTS, BENEFITS, RISKS, POWER, WEALTH, RESOURCES, ETC.

We are Incoherent,  Decaying,  Alienative and Destructive:

when  the  messages  which are conveyed through  our  many

                 WORDS and/or ACTIONS ---

    Are In-Conflict-With   and/or   Undermine-Each-Other.

              ===================================

In the above the focus is upon  COMPETITIONS in the use of
limited/scarce resources; without CONFLICTS Being-Central.

In the above polarizations, dichotomizations, and outright
conflicts  are  not necessarily involved.    There  is No-
Necessity for them to be involved.   CONFLICTS are NOT the
ESSENCE of COMPETITIONS.   There is No-Necessity for there
to be ALIENATION, ESTRANGEMENT, EXCOMMUNICATIONS, etc.

Due   to  Tragic-Failures  to  Resolve-Within-Small-Groups
IDEOLOGICAL-CONFLICTS between/among:

 1.  Ideals,
 2.  Values,
 3.  Visions,
 4.  Hopes,
 5.  Expectations,
 6.  Plans,
 7.  Missions,
 8.  Callings,
 9.  Vocations,
10.  Religions,
11.  Theologies,
12.  Ultimate-Concerns,
13.  Cultures,
14.  Professions,
15.  Perspectives,
16.  Points-of-View,
17.  Affirmations, etc.

those  CONFLICTS often Move-Across-Boundaries into Larger-
Groups and Spheres-of-Discourse/Conflict.

Competition-need-not involve Alienations-through-Mutually-
Exclusive-Affirmations.

COMPETITION-is-over  How-Much-of-Each-Limited-Resource  is
used  in  support of each of the many ways of using  them.

CONFLICTS-Occur  when people  Want-More-than-they-Need  at
the expense of other people who Have-Less-than-they-Need.

Here  "NEEDS"   have  to  do with  ENOUGH  of  the  Basic-
Necessities-of-Life;    e.g.,   clean-air,    clean-water,
sanitation, enough-foods-for-balanced-diets, fertile-farm-
lands  with adequate  water-for-farming,  adequate-energy-
supplies,  adequate-mineral-supplies,  adequate-political-
power,   constitutional-rights,   Universal-Humane-Rights,
etc.

Here  "NEEDS"  are to be distinguished from "WANTS"   that
involve  MORE-THAN-ENOUGH  of the above and/or WHATEVER-IS
Demanded-by-Domineering-People   as   Required-to-Fulfill-
Their-Greedy-Missions to concentrate: Luxuries,  Money and
Powers  for themselves  ---  at the expense of poor people
DO-NOT-HAVE-ENOUGH to meet their Basic-Humane NEEDS.
