It may be important for us to discern what their real motivations, perspectives, attitudes, beliefs, etc. are --- so as to have some basis for our responding to them in gracious and integrative ways. In all times/occasions where we try to do the above; it is important for us to strive to be: humble, balanced, gracious, and committed to articulating-and-demonstrating Healthy-Clusters of virtues, ideals, values, etc. If we do not strive in those ways --- our efforts to offer "Solutions" may make our relationships worse, rather than help improve our relationships. The above deals more with reflexive-relationships, than with objective-relationships. Objective-Certainty cannot be achieved and is not properly a Central-Issue. In the above the Central-Issues revolve around the characters and qualities of the Personal-Relationships between those who are involved in the efforts under consideration. How can Alienation-be-Healed and Suspicious-People-be-Reconciled? When it is important to discern people's intentions it is important to work to do the following: 1. Heal dysfunctional Evil-Relationships of Alienation. 2. Reconcile people who do not trust each other. 3. Resolve conflicts between ideals, values, principles, 4. Resolve conflicts between dominators and victims, 5. Mitigate the abuse of violence, controls, deception, 6. Mitigate the abuse of prescriptions, proscriptions, 7. Mitigate the abuse of excommunications and prisons, 8. Mitigate arrogance, self-righteousness and pretense. 9. Mitigate dominant concentrations of power/wealth. 10. Mitigate the abuse of authority and influence. Be-Together in the Many-Gracious Ways of Shalom. (c) 2008 by Paul A.
