That which is "obvious" by appropriate to some people, is obviously "inappropriate" to the other people. The difference in meaning is often related to the perceived natures off: "security", "vulnerability", "safety", "invulnerability", "love", "evil", "sanctuary", "salvation", etc. --- and how they may be "achieved" and/or "enjoyed". To unilaterally "achieve" what they want --- domineering people often impose upon healthy people unilateral rules of mandatory secrecy: 1. Unique people whom God has created --- must hide what is unique about themselves. 2. People who are "different" --- must hide what is "different" about themselves. 3. People who are creative --- must hide their creativity. 4. People whom God has called to be prophets --- must keep quiet. 5. People who are involved in wonderful integrative relationships --- must be quiet about their wonderful integrative relationships. Domineering people do not want to be embarrassed, frightened, or made uncomfortable by God's Whole Truth which includes paradoxical complementary truths. They want to fragment God's Whole Truth; then control and abuse their fragments of the Whole Truth as sharp tools with which to manipulate vulnerable people; e.g., the: poor, thirsty, hungry, homeless, power less, naked, hungry, sick, etc. Thus idolatry often entails the rejection of God's Paradoxical Truths.
