Decay is always the natural and normal process in the world/universe. Because of "The Fall" we are born with Original Sin. Goodness can come only through: DISCIPLINES, CONSTRAINTS, CONTROLS, DOMINATION, OBEDIENCE, LAWS, COMMANDMENTS, PRESCRIPTIONS, PROSCRIPTIONS, FORMULAS, FORMALITIES, DOCTRINES, RITUALS, AUTHORITIES, ETC. People are born with Original Sin and so with a tendency to be evil and do evil things; to yield to the temptations supplied by The Devil and the sinners whom He has working under him. God must force people to be good through threats of eternal punishments so as to even up the score made negative by evil sinners yielding to the temptation to get the forbidden pleasures of life --- against the will of God. Pleasures are to be enjoyed ONLY as rewards for conforming to the wills of dominant people who are enforcing God's good: laws, rules, commandments, prohibitions, prescriptions, proscriptions, formalities and ceremonies. Domineering religious people are God's faithful servants who enforce the will of our Angry God who was made angry by The Fall soon after the six days of HIS creation work.
