     In a community where reverence,  civility,   courtesy
and similar related virtues are rarely observed --- people
are  likely to be far more insecure and defensive --- than
in communities  where  reverence,    civility,    courtesy
and  similar  related  virtues are   regularly   observed.
The consequence  is that in the absence of the  observance
of essential  virtues  (and  ceremonies  which   celebrate
the  essential   virtues)  ---   negative  feed-back-loops
build  up and   further   undermine  both  personal    and
communal integrities.     The way to deal with EVIL is  in
the  way   that healthy people observe the  importance  of
essential  virtues and ceremonies ---  so as to  eliminate
the conditions which feed destructive feed-back-loops.  An
observance/ceremony ---  in  time saves the need for  nine
observances/ceremonies  at  a  later  time when  negative-
feed-back-loops   have   cycled  around  many  destructive
