What kinds of fears are likely to lead us in ways which ARE prudent and wise? What kinds of fears are most easily used/abused by domineering people in their efforts to concentrate power into their own domineering hands? What kinds of fears are NOT easily used/abused by domineering people? It may be helpful to focus upon the difference between fears-of-alienations which CAN be influenced or mitigated by humans; and fears of the natural-effects of human choices and behaviors --- where humans CANNOT influence or mitigate the cause-effect-relationships between human choices/behaviors and the natural-effects of them. The fears-of-alienation which CAN be influenced or mitigated by humans --- are the fears which CAN be used and abused by domineering people to concentrate power into their own hands. The fears of the natural-effects of human choices and behaviors CANNOT so readily be used or abused by domineering people to concentrate power into their own hands --- EXCEPT as domineering people make tacit or implicit threats to decide to cause harm to people who are vulnerable; e.g., to people who are: thirsty, hungry, weak, sick, naked, dis-eased, ill-at-ease, homeless, powerless, dis-advantaged, poor, ignorant, blind, deaf, etc. It is not the natural-cause-effect- relationship which should be feared; it is the ALIENATION which leads to harmful-human-behaviors --- which are to be feared in ways which are prudent and wise --- leading to reconciliation.
