Our past is overlaid with emotional-memories of: tension, relaxation; contention, acceptance; rejection, inclusion; exclusion, dialogue; pretensions, honesty; etc. All of our memories carry with them "emotional-over-tones" which play major roles in our current lives --- including our considerations of future possibilities, visions, aspirations and dreams. Our pasts, presents, and futures are parts of our whole-lives. It is dangerous to systematically ignore any parts of our whole-lives while fixating on just some limited part of our whole-lives. Much depends upon the level of safety/security and the "emotional-over-tones" which we associate with our past experiences as regards our own and other peoples': 1. Hopes, aspirations, dreams, visions, rights; 2. Friendships, dialogues, intimacies, hurts; 3. Ideals, values, principles, concepts; 4. Cosmologies, mythologies, stories, songs; 5. Being-together, being-cooperative, loving; 6. Pretentiousness, arrogance, righteousness; 7. Clarity, confusion, understanding, knowing; 8. Civility, hospitality, generosity; 9. Safety, invulnerability, defensiveness; 10. Coercion, violence, controls, freedoms; 11. Inclusions, exclusions, integrations; 12. Forgiveness, reconciliation, healing; 13. Attacks, abuses, injuries, pains; 14. Demands, commands, laws, lovers; 15. Transcendence, resurrections; 16. Hells and sanctuary-communities. It is how the above come-to-us, are-chosen, contend, and/or are integrated into our whole lives as individuals within our relationships/communities --- that leads us into our hells-in-alienation and/or sanctuary-communities in Love.
