Coherence and cooperation must extend beyond us; out into and throughout our communities --- for us to enjoy lives which are meaningful and satisfying. We cannot "do-it" alone as isolated individuals. We need others' support, confirmations, and cooperation to "find", "discern" and "create" both meaning and satisfaction together. We cannot be confident with any level healthy of certainty and coherence --- when we are separated and/or alienated from each other in systemic ways. This is why separation, dishonesty, deception, arrogance, self-righteousness, alienation and estrangement are central in all realistic descriptions of the nature of our evil-relationships. The above comments pertain to a wide range of the diverse aspects of our lives --- not to just one or a very few aspects of our lives together. What are the kinds of aspects of our lives together --- to which the above comments pertain? Consider the following suggestions to discern for yourself which the aspects might be: 1. Personal and communal relationships. 2. Self, other, family, school, work-place, etc. 3. Beliefs, doctrines, rituals, myths, religions. 4. Descriptions of our experiences/observations. 5. Personal and communal behaviors and formalities. 6. Buildings, roads, and communal infrastructures. 7. Communication networks of all kinds. 8. Formal and informal languages, sign & pointers. 9. How we respond to errors, mistakes & failures. 10. How we deal with incoherence/conflicts among us. 11. How we deal with imperfections and impurities. 12. How we deal with dishonesty, arrogance & evil. 13. How we deal with regrets, guilt, shame & blame. 14. How we deal with change, revolutions & chaos. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
