An integrative-foundation for true-self-esteem is experienced while participating in balanced ways within sanctuary communities which freely exchange gifts of the freedom to be safely vulnerable in truly intimate relationships. To build healthy/integrative communities --- we need to be aware of and work in terms of the above difference between disintegrative and integrative foundations for self-esteem. We need to recognize what kind of self- esteem each person is working with; and the consequences of the motivations which flow for each kind of self- esteem. To facilitate a change in the kind of self-esteem that a person is working with --- we need to work to include currently dysfunctional people within sanctuary communities wherein people exchange gifts of the freedom to be safely vulnerable within truly intimate relationships. That is the way to help them let go of: arrogance, hostility, self-righteousness, controls, domination, threats, punishments, legalism, judgementalism etc. We cannot force people to let go of technocratic ways --- by demonstrating technocratic ways in our efforts to make them let go of technocratic ways.
