Use of the above strategies makes truly reciprocal loving of each other impossible --- and so makes it impossible to obey the two greatest commandments of Love, and impossible to enjoy the fruits of Love. The above statements DESCRIBE the natural consequences of our choosing to advance ourselves --- to the exclusion of others and/or at the cost of others. The above statements do not urge that we impose consequences upon any power/person which transcends our own choosing to advance ourselves to the exclusion of others and/or at the cost of others. This is not about non-conformity and externally imposed punishments for non-conformity. This is about the natural consequences of our own decisions and actions. The above describes the natural consequences of our choosing mutually exclusive coping strategies, rather than choosing mutually inclusive ways which lead to mutual understanding and cooperation. Exclusivity entails: excluding complementary people whom we do not know or trust; excluding complementary ideals and values which we do not trust; and excluding complementary groups and communities which we do not know or trust. Such exclusivity leads us naturally into evil- relationships and disintegration. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
