     When  domineering  people  control  human   thoughts,
beliefs,  desires, hopes, aspirations, behaviors, etc. ---
human behaviors and relationships are reduced to   rituals
which are calculated;   rather than authentic.   It is not
safe then to be authentic, open, honest,  or vulnerable in
diverse  ways.     True  security is not  enjoyed  as  the
freedom  to  be  safely  vulnerable  in   truly   intimate
relationships.                                            
                                                          
     Coercion   and domination engender dishonest  rituals
which conceal the  lack of integrity  within the  personal
relationships which are thus smoothed over.   It becomes a
mark  of  "civilization"   and "civility"    to  ritualize
coercion and domination.   But such ritualization does not
lead  to  true  reconciliation,     mutual  understanding,
healing,   forgiveness,  or meaningful cooperation.   Such
ritualization  is  more  like a  mask,   white-wash,    or
