We need to be a aware of such people and understand the "logic/reasons" for their strange attitudes, thoughts and beliefs. The "logic/reasons" have been revealed, exposed and analyzed within the frameworks of: 1. Alcoholics Anonymous' Meetings and related books on diverse forms of Addiction and Codependency. 2. Alanon Meetings and books on Codependency. 3. R. D. Laing's concept of Collusive Games of Mutual Self Deception in his book "Self and Other". 4. Walter Wink's concept of "The Domination System" in his book "The Powers that Be". 5. Feminists' clarifications of sexual abuse. - - - - - - - - - - The "logic/reasons" seem to "make-sense" to some people because: 1. "The Domination System" cannot succeed when most people in a community are involved in open and honest relationships characterized by authentic intimacy, balance, gentleness, mutual respect, and humility. 2. People who think in dichotomous either/or terms usually over-simplify truly complex situations and relationships --- in ways which do not accurately represent what is really true. 3. Subtle forms of deception, misrepresentation, and concealment are used to conceal and/or repress complementary: facts, ideals, values, principles, perceptions and kinds of people. 4. Through false forms of "faith" people hope for and expect to see fulfilled their own fantastic visions, dreams and desires which would entail the transcendence of environmental, resource and human limitations --- which are firm limits on what is possible within the realms of human relationships and physical circumstances.
