Making "losing" costly to their "enemies". 2. Making "winning" dear to their "friends". 3. Making "domination" look more important to all. 4. Making cooperation look suspicious to all. 5. Making it harder for peacemakers to succeed. 6. Making "win-win" conflict resolution difficult. In order to transcend and subvert "The Domination System" peacemakers need to work to lower the stakes in confrontations between people who perceive each other to be "enemies". Dominant people are constantly working to raise the stakes, promote confrontations, extend conflicts and undermine true-conflict-resolutions --- because they see their only hope to be in totally defeating their perceived "enemies". They see no hope in the absence of the humiliation of their "enemies". Sweet fruits of advantages gained are not enough. Their "enemies" must be forced to eat "bitter fruits" before the supporters of "The Domination System" can gain any sense of satisfaction. Their dominant patterns of attitudes and thought are not healthy. (c) 2005 by Paul A. Smith in (On Being Yourself, Whole and Healthy) ==========================================================
