     Each  living  organism  and  person  is  particularly
vulnerable  at  certain  points.    Any  attack  which  is
intended to render another  organism  or  person  helpless
(and so vulnerable to further disintegration) is likely to
be  focused  upon such a  point  of  vulnerability---where
damage can most easily be inflicted.

     Disintegrative    people    are   preoccupied    with
identifying  and  attacking  points  of  vulnerability  in
others---and so are preoccupied  with  defending their own
points    of   vulnerability   against   attack.       For
disintegrative people the primary issues of life and death
are issues of attack, defense,  threats, fears, anxieties,
fixes,   fixations,   technologies,  sophistication,   and
controls.     Their lives are focused  almost  exclusively
upon such issues;  and  so they  focus upon excluding from
their lives other  people who are like them and so must be
preoccupied with issues of attack, defense,  threat, fear,
anxiety, fixes, fixations, technology, sophistication, and
control. Thus they all  become  centers  of  personal  and
communal disintegration.    In spite of often being highly
intelligent and educated;  they cannot find  a  way out of
their fear-full prisons of endless  technological  attacks
upon  points  of vulnerability.  They cannot resolve their
conflicts, and so engage in endless coercion and violence.

     Points  of vulnerability include particular parts  of
the  boundaries  between organisms and  their environment;
their skins;  e.g.,   eyes,  ears,  nose,  neck,  stomach,
genitals.  Such points are not the only possible points of
vulnerability.     Defects  in  organisms  can  make  them
vulnerable to attack.

     For  humans  the points of vulnerability  may  entail
defects pertaining to language,  communication,  thinking,
emotions,    conformity,   self   respect,    reflexivity,
objectivity,  etc.  Humans are vulnerable to various forms
of failures, criticism, ridicule, judgements, punishments,
exclusions, condemnations, and excommunications.

     Lives  which are focused upon points of vulnerability
and   the   defense   of  points  of   vulnerability   are
disintegrative.  In contrast, people and communities which
enjoy personal and communal integrity are not focused upon
points of vulnerability, or upon the defense  of points of
vulnerability.   Their  lives are focused upon integrative
