Beware of powerful people who in coercive ways seek to promote law and order---and then blame the alienated criminals who have rebelled against the alienative abuse power. Beware of powerful people who use their power in alienative ways to acquire more power with which to be coercive in efforts to control those people who rebel against their alienative concentration of power. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely---for the process of acquiring absolute power is an alienative process. Only alienated people seek absolute power---and in the process of seeking absolute power they further alienate themselves from the powerless whom they then blame for the alienation. The use of power in coercive/violent ways never merits respect---for such use is always alienative--- leading to the disintegration of integrative people and communities. Behaviors which engender disintegration do not merit respect. The integrative use of power always merits respect. The disintegrative use of power never merits respect. Beware of powerful people who claim they have a monopoly on telling the difference between the two ways of using power! Their behaviors is very telling about their abuse of power. People who use their powers to promote personal and communal integrity are humble peacemakers who work to resolve conflicts to the satisfaction of all affected people---even though imperfectly achieving their goals. Such peacemakers are not arrogant, rude, coercive or preoccupied with issues of control. They merit respect and support. People who use their powers to try to control people, circumstances and relationships; are arrogant conflict- makers who work to promote and sustain conflicts that lead towards personal and communal disintegration to the loss of all affected people---even though they ostensibly seek to promote conformity to "high" ideals. Peace-makers are not preoccupied with rules of conformity, failures, sins, judgements, condemnations and excommunications. Conflict-makers are preoccupied with rules of conformity, failures, sins, judgements, condemnations and excommunications. Healthy people seek to find and create safe places in which to raise children in integrative ways; for only in such sanctuaries can children grow up to be healthy adults in healthy communities. Such safe places are not full of rules, conformity, judgements, condemnations, perfectionists or excommunications.
