In the absence of ultimate commitments to personal and communal integrity; and to means appropriate to such commitment---ultimate commitments to other ideals and values lead to the use of alienative means which undermine personal and communal integrity. Then all other ideals and values are meaningless! Ultimate commitments which lead to personal and communal disintegration are not worthy of respect or support under any conditions. Some people may be alienated when the truth is charitably spoken about them in honest descriptions of the natural consequences of how they seek to fulfill their ultimate: commitments, ideals, values, attitudes, beliefs and dogmas---in alienative ways. Integrative people who are ultimately committed to promoting personal and communal integrity naturally speak the truth charitably in describing the alienative consequences of how other people seek to fulfill their commitments. Such communications are not coercive, violent, mean, or manipulative. Such communications are descriptive---seeking to point to truths which are essential to personal and communal integrity. There are many people who seek to repress such truths---people who are at minimum embarrassed by those who speak such truths. Such embarrassed people are more responsible for their own embarrassment, than are the integrative people who speak the truth charitably in efforts to promote personal and communal integrity. We need to be clear about where the responsibility lies for the embarrassment. It lies with those who seek to conceal the truth, not with those who speak the truth charitably to promote integrity.
