We may occasionally be able to manipulate, push around and perhaps control external objects; or at least appear to do so. It is more difficult to manipulate, push around and/or appear to control reflexive realities which involve other people and living creatures. We can have major influence/control over our own internal/reflexive realities to the extent that they/we do not involve other people and living creatures in significant ways. In regards to all of this we are bound to be greatly confused to the extent that we have not recognized, named, and openly and honestly talked about the various kinds of realities which are involved: internal reflexive, external reflexive, external objective, communal reflexive, communal objective, etc. We are confused if we have not talked and are unable to talk openly and honestly about our: attitudes, ideals, values, assumptions, goals, beliefs, convictions, fears, hopes, aspirations---as distinct from objects, objective realities, possessions, physical bodies, physical creations, and other "external" realities. If we are confused we are likely to deal with the various kinds of realities in inappropriate ways---not making essential distinctions between what is appropriate to dealing with each different kind of reality. We are likely to deal with reality "A" in a manner which is appropriate to reality "Z" but which is totally inappropriate to reality "A". In this confused manner of dealing with realities we are likely to waste a great deal of energy, creativity, time and attention---because we fail to recognize, name, and openly and honestly talk about the differences between external/internal and objective/reflexive realities---and the differences between how well we can influence and/or control them.
