     Often technically  preoccupied people  seek  ways  to
amplify their influence and power---in order that they can
be more effective in doing the "good"  which they want  to
do.    They  feel sure that what they want to do  will  be
"good"  for other people,  even if the other people  have
not asked for the "good" to be done on their behalf and/or
have  not  agreed that the "good"  will be good  in  their
eyes.

     Technically   preoccupied  people  are   often   more
interested  in  how  to  increase their  power  to  be  in
control,  and  to do "good"---than they are with being  in
dialogue with the people for whom and to whom they seek to
do "good".  They are more preoccupied with means than with
being  aware  of their own and other  people's  attitudes,
experiences,   ideals and values---and with where they are
all likely to lead.

     It is dangerous to respect and support people who are
technically   preoccupied   and   are  fixated   upon  the
amplification  of  their  influence  and  power  to  be in
control---or  to appear to be in control.   The fruits  of
their  efforts are often far more disintegrative than they
or anybody else anticipated in advance.  Their paradigm is
not  helpful in predicting the disintegrative consequences
of  respecting  and  supporting the  paradigm  and/or  the
