How we choose to perceive, understand and respond to the realities in our environment as: objective, reflexive, material, spiritual, individual, communal and other kinds of realities. 2. What implicit and explicit goals drive and/or guide us in our efforts: analytic-understanding, manipulative-understanding, prediction, control, appreciation, friendship, enjoyment, service, love, power, justice, . . . 3. What individual objective elements/relationships play major, minor and/or excluded roles in our lives: strings, quarks, leptons, mesons, baryons, protons, neutrons, nuclei, electrons, atoms, molecules, cells, organs, organisms, communities, ecosystems, planets, solar systems, galaxies, galactic clusters, galactic super- clusters or the universe as a whole. 4. What reflexive elements/relationships play major, minor and/or excluded roles in our lives: parent/child, teacher/student, employer/employee, preacher/believer, husband/wife, doctor/patient, seller/buyer, body/spirit, mind/brain, soul/body, God/creature, . . . 5. The kinds of people who play major, minor and/or excluded roles in our lives: men, women, children, adolescents, young parents, middle age, aged, whites, blacks, browns, colored, ethnic minorities, devoted religious, agnostics, evangelicals, fundamentalists, scientists, professionals, laborers, politicians, . . . 6. The particular ideals, values, principles, beliefs, truths, assumptions, attitudes, principles, rules, regulations, prohibitions, taboos, injunctions, visions, images, systems, plans, intentions, expectations which play major, minor and/or excluded roles in our lives. What is important is the COMBINATIONS of the above which play major, minor and/or excluded roles in our lives. Some COMBINATIONS are integrative, and other COMBINATIONS are disintegrative. It is not just the individual realities in isolation which matter; it the COMBINATIONS which matter much more than the individual realities in isolation. It is not only what COMBINATIONS play major roles in our lives; it is also the permutations of relative priorities which make a a great deal of difference. Also it makes a difference just how we regard people who are different from us in these regards; and so on whether or not we reject, excommunicate and/or banish those who are different from us. The qualities of our individual and communal lives thus depend greatly upon the COMBINATIONS of the above in our individual and communal lives; not upon just the isolated and un-related presence of any one or few of the above in our lives.
