     Seduction  is often used with sexual connotations but
not   often  with  regards  to  someone  being  led   into
addictive,  codependent and collusive relationships.   The
two  kinds of seduction are interdependent as described in
Kasal's book,  "Women,  Sex and Addiction,"  and  Schaef's
book, "Escape  from Intimacy."   We will do well to become
more aware of the various forms of seduction and recognize
that exclusive preoccupation with sexual seductions to the
neglect  of  other supportive forms of seduction  will not
lead to wise responses to occasions of sexual seduction.

     Regrettably,  much  of education is  less  liberating
than it is seductive into exclusive patterns of thought in
keeping with dominant paradigms focused upon  objectivity,
analysis,  manipulative understanding, and control.   Such
seduction   rarely gets the attention that a  juicy  case
of sexual  seduction  gets.     Authority figures have too
much at stake in the instances of educational seduction to
encourage  an  open  and honest dialogue of  all  that  is
