How is control exercised? Who is not in control? Who benefits/loses because of who is in control? What is the intention of the person(s) who are in control? Is the effort to be in control successful or does it appear to be successful? What technologies of control would be more effective? Addictive people avoid asking questions about how to transcend their preoccupation with issues of control and conflict over being in control---because according to their collusive paradigm the issues of control are of ultimate importance in maintaining proper control in the face of threats to: law, order, propriety, decency, and conformity to God's Laws. When faced with the possible loss of control and/or the loss of the appearance of being in control---many people look for ways to heighten the levels of technology, will-power, dedication, commitment, belief, conviction, resources-use, sophistication, etc. They see all of life in terms of battles between the forces of good and the forces of evil. Good people like themselves should be in control and people who are evil should be cast into the outer darkness into states of perpetual alienation from all the good people of the world. They believe that only then will law and order prevail with them in full control of appearances and reality. They work diligently to create such a perfect heaven here on earth, but succeed only in perpetuating hell on earth. (c) 2005 by Paul A.
