     Addictive  people  persist in feeling the need for  a
fix to become acceptable,  even in the face of the  gospel
which   tells  them  the  truth that they  are  o.k.   and
acceptable  in  the eyes of the power  which  created  the
universe.

     Addictive  people   often   perceive  the  gospel  as
offering  the fix which they feel that people must have to
become acceptable,  and often they appropriate the  gospel
and  use it as their own tool by which to gain control  of
other   people   who  are  taught  that  they   need   the
dispensation of the gospel  which  can  be  given  only by
those who understand, own and control it.

     In  the  perception  of  addictive  people  they  are
essentially  sinful  and in need of being fixed by  people
who  have the power to fix.   The question is who has that
power.  Often religious people have claimed that they have
control  over  that  power to provide the  needed  fix  to
people who are originally sinful.  That claim is the basis
for such religious leaders to acquire personal  advantage,
self-righteousness,  and a personal fix for what they feel
is  wrong  with  them.    Their  behavior  is  essentially
addictive  even  though  it is vested in the  garments  of
respectability and service of a transcendent power.   Such
