     People  who  are committed to the idea and  ideal  of
being  in control and achieving personal security  through
manipulative technologies cannot with integrity believe in
a  higher  power,  God,  or the power of Love;   for  such
beliefs  acknowledge that there are realms  and  realities
over which we cannot exercise control, and to which we are
eternally vulnerable.

     The paradigm of technocrats,  addicts,   codependents
and   colluders  excludes  the  possibility  of  spiritual
acknowledgements  of  human  finitude,   dependence,   and
vulnerability.

     In  the face of actual facts regarding human life the
consequence  is that to many people dishonesty becomes, an
essential  technology;   one which leads to  personal  and
communal disintegration where such people seek to dominate
through their manipulative efforts.

     Often  people  object  to the  details  of  spiritual
affirmations;  claiming that the details cannot be  proven
to  be  true  in any technical  way.    Their  motives  in
objecting  to spiritual affirmations spring from the  ways
in  which  most  spiritual  affirmations  (regardless   of
details)   challenge the dishonesty which is essential  to
the  paradigm of technocrats,  addicts,  codependents  and
participants   in  collusive  networks  of  disintegrative
support.    It is not so much that spiritual  affirmations
are  not  literally true which is the  threat,   but  that
spiritual  affirmations threaten to expose the patterns of
personal dishonesty  of  those  who object to the lack  of
