     Relationships  between/among people may be  objective
and/or subjective.

     People   are   objects  which  can   be   understood,
predicted, manipulated, controlled;  as can other objects.
People  can be pushed around and forced to move  about  as
inanimate  objects obeying the descriptive laws of  motion
which all objects obey.   People who treat others in this
objective  way  are coercive,  violent,   unresponsive  as
persons,   and so irresponsible.   They themselves tend to
react as objects rather than respond as persons seeking to
be  in  open and honest dialogue which  entails  intimacy,
vulnerability and security.

     People  can  be  used  objectively  as  objects   for
"personal"  advantage and "satisfaction" in ways which are
not  really  personal and not  really  satisfying.    Such
manipulative use of people as objects may have to do  with
accumulation  of  wealth,   influence,   respect,   power,
respectability,   sexual conquests,  prizes,   competitive
advantages,   consumer  goods,   etc.    Yielding  to  the
temptation     to     accumulate    whatever    can     be
measured/quantified  as a means to satisfaction  leads  to
the    disintegration    of    authentic    inter-personal
relationships.    Meaningful satisfaction is not  achieved
