Objective scientific laws describe impersonal objects in ways which provide the means to control objects through manipulative relationships between humans and objects. Descriptions of the structure of human relationships cannot provide the means to control humans through manipulative relationships between humans and humans. By their nature humans cannot be controlled as can objects. Only people who are into addictive type relationships believe that they can control humans the way that objects can be controlled. Descriptions of the structure of human relationships are of a different kind, than are the objective laws which describe quantitatively the relationships among objects. Not all descriptions are of one kind. It is important to recognize the difference between authentic descriptions of the structure of human relationships, and accurate descriptions of objective relationships between objects. The descriptions of the structure of human relationships are like the probabilistic descriptions of indeterminate objective relationships, only to the extent that humans behave deterministically according to the rules of random chance, and the patterns of chaotic behavior. Not even the patterns of probability and chaotic behavior can describe genuinely authentic human intimacy and creative behavior, which deviate qualitatively from any normal distribution of human behaviors. To adequately describe the structure of human relationships one must describe the qualitative deviations from normal patterns of human behaviors. The essence of being human includes the tendencies to be fundamentally different. Any description which ignores such human tendencies to be fundamentally different, is ignoring an essential aspect of the structure of human relationships, and so is an essentially inadequate description. Descriptions of the structure of human relationships which presume to provide the basis for knowing what to expect with confidence, are descriptions which fall into the error of thinking that the structure of human relationships can be adequately understood in terms of the patterns provided by descriptions of relationships between objects. In relationships with humans, expectations can be coercive and disintegrative. In regards to human relationships descriptions can themselves be coercive, violent and disintegrative in whys which they are not in regards to objective relationships. Human relationships are reflexive; descriptions of human relationships are reflexive, and so potentially coercive, violent and disintegrative. Reflexive descriptions can not be patterned after objective descriptions which are fundamentally different in character. Authentic descriptions of human relationships must differ from accurate descriptions of objective relationships. In the absence of an awareness of such difference, objective people cannot be properly aware of the nature of authentic human relationships and their structures. Objective people are prone to ignore the differences; and are in profound need of adequate descriptions of the differences between intimate human relationships, and impersonal objective relationships.
