     Dealing   with   new  challenges   created   by   our
environmental   changes  often  requires  new  systems  of
concepts   and  questions  pertaining  to  realities   and
relationships.   We need to  focus  our attention with the
aid  of  new vocabularies and phrases which point  to  new
realities  and new relationships in terms of which  we can
make  sense of new experiences which  have  not  been  the
traditional focus of discussion and problem-solving in our
past.

     Often  we  have  not discussed  our  new  experiences
because of our participation in taboos and collusive games
of mutual  self deception which support of our addictions.
We  need  to find the courage,  vocabulary,   phrases  and
concepts needed for us to be  in  open and honest dialogue
about our experiences, convictions, hopes, fears, desires,
and ways of making sense  of what is real to us.   We need
new  intellectual  tools in addition to  old  intellectual
tools, and the will to be honest.

     We  need  to integrate the use of old and  new  tools
into   coherent  ways  of  dealing  with  challenging  new
situations.     We   need   to   integrate   complementary
approaches, rather than to engage  in  battles  over which
approach  to  use  to  the  exclusion  of  other  ways  of
approaching  situations.    We  need  integration  of  the
manners of our approach,  not merely disdainful tolerance.
Integration entails genuine respect for  each  reality and
relationship where such respect will promote both personal
and communal integrity.    Disdainful tolerance  does  not
